报告人简介:
Elizabeth Robinson is Professor of Environmental Economics in the School of Agriculture, Policy, and Development at the University of Reading; and a member of the UK's Department For Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs (Defra) economics advisory panel. She has over twenty years experience undertaking researchthat addresses how policies and institutions can be designed to protect both resource-dependent people and the natural resource base. Much of this research focuses on the intersection of forests, energy, and climate policy, particularly in low and middle-income countries. She holds a degree in Engineering, Economics, and Management from the University of Oxford, and a PhD in Applied Economics from Stanford University. She worked with the World Bank, Rockefeller Foundation, and the UK’s Natural Resources Institute before joining the University of Oxford as a lecturer in the economics department and tutorial fellow at St Hugh’s College. In 2004 she moved to Tanzania where she lived and worked for four years, teaching at the University of Dar es Salaam, as a fellow of the Sida-funded Environment for Development Initiative, and as coordinating lead author for the sub-Saharan Africa International Assessment of Agricultural Science and Technology for Development (IAASTD). She then spent two years in Ghana working with the International Food Policy Research Institute on agricultural transformation. Professor Robinson recently returned to the UK from a six-month sabbatical, based at Peking University’s National School of Development.
